The Cello of Nicole Pinnell

I always knew I wanted beautiful cello as a part of my music.  I fell in love with the cello about the same time I fell in love with a cellist!  (My wife Polly attended college on a cello scholarship.).  During one of the many pauses in production of the first album, our family attended the movie theater release of Rob Gardner's Lamb of God: The Convert Film.  I'm a big fan of Rob's work!

I was blown away by the entire production - but cellist Nicole Pinnell's work stood out to me.  I watched the credits carefully, "who was that cellist!" and brought her name to the studio as Mark and I met to plan the next steps in the album.  I could not believe my luck when Mark said "Oh, Nicole is great, she has been in here before.  I'll text her and see if she's available."  Well, as luck would have it, she carved out some time to come work on my album.   Polly joined me on the day of he recording and we enjoyed watching and hearing her talent!  She took the parts that were written by Mark and I (and some that were written for us by Peter Breinholt) and she played them so beautifully.  She adds so much emotion to the notes that she plays!

How grateful I am that Nicole agreed to play on they album.  I hope to hear her talents on many, many songs to come!
